Simple method no. 1
Hey, Giles here.
Today I want to share a method that is proven to work, that can make you at least something in a single day.
This method, however, will require some legwork (literally, unless you outsource which is quite easy to do)
The method itself is simple. You can’t fail. You’re going to get a very high conversion rate to the offer you are promoting.
However, before we move on: You have to make sure it’s okay to do this in your country, as from what I’ve heard some countries do not like this.
My mentor did this without any issues what so ever in Perth, Australia back in 2012.
Without further ado, let me explain the method that one of my mentors taught me:
In Perth where he lived at the time, there was a yearly show called “IGA Perth Royal Show”
The offer he found gave the people who signed up a chance to win a gift card at a shopping centre. I think it paid out roughly something per conversion.
The offer was incredibly targeted and the conversion rate was ridiculously high.
So, how did he get this offer in front of people?
He went old school!
He printed out hundreds of small flyers that he handed out to people as they left for the day.
All in all, he was handing out flyers for around 2 hours and made a hundred.
This isn’t that much, but if he would have made a bigger effort I have no doubt he could have made a lot more somethings for a few hours work.
So, here’s what you need in order to do this:
1. Domain name, which you redirect to your affiliate offer
2. Papers/printer. Try and fit at least 4 flyers/offers per paper.
The flyers can be black and white, mine were.
Don’t overthink this, just text is fine. Just say something like:
‘Enjoyed the game? Enter your email at www.yourdomainname.com for your chance to win xx (a new iPad/a jersey shirt/a 500 gift card at xx’ etc)
I think he fit 9 or 12 flyers per paper, so it didn’t cost him that much to print out a lot of flyers either.
Sign up for an affiliate company.
The offers that you’ll see the most success with are simple CPL (Cost Per Lead) offers, where the user only has to fill out their email address (sometimes name/address, depending on what you are promoting)
Companies he used when he did this:
www.MaxBounty.com
www.ClickBank.com
NOTE: MaxBounty typically only have these kind of offers if you live in USA/Canada/Australia,
if you live elsewhere, you’re going to have to try your luck with actual products instead, such as Clickbank, Jvzoo etc.
Here’s some ideas for you:
He did this method one more time after the Perth Show, here’s what he did then:
He went to a sold out football game.
When the game ended and people left the arena,
I handed out flyers promoting ‘free satellite channels online’
I can’t remember the name of the product, but it was something like Direct sat tv.
However, if I lived in the US/Australia I would look and see if they had any good CPL offers instead.
People tend to fill them out on their mobile phones while waiting for the game to start, so if you can find something that is fairly targeted to where you are promoting, you can expect to make something.
So there you have it. The first method he used to make something online.
(Well, I guess it’s kind of a hybrid of online/offline)
Simple, isn’t it?
Very, very effective and almost zero work for you if you decide to outsource.
Now, again:
Make sure it’s okay to hand out flyers where you are located, I don’t want you to get in trouble.
As I said, he had no issues doing this in Australia a couple years ago and I can’t imagine you’d get fined for doing this somewhere else either, but I take no responsibility if it does happen to you, so please make sure it’s okay before you get started.
That’s it!
Go out there and make something.
Talk to you soon,
Giles
